Sundays 9:15- Kids Sunday School
During our 9:15 hour our kids attend Sunday School in age based classes. Our current classes include:
1st Grade
2nd Grade
3rd Grade
4th & 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project curriculum where travel through the Bible chronologically in a three year time span. Our Sunday School currently meets downstairs below the preschool area right off the elevator.

Sunday transition time 10:15-10:45
On Sunday mornings if you child is in Sunday school their teachers will bring them to our Kids Worship room at 10:15.
If you are not staying for the 10:45 hour you can pick up your child in this room anytime between 10:15-10:45.
If you are only attending the 10:45 you can check your child in during this time as well.
During this time we will serve a snack and enjoy some time of fellowship with our friends.

Sundays 10:45- Kids Worship
During our 10:45 service our kids meet in our Kid's Worship Room(old sanctuary/old youth room). We use the Gospel Project in this hour as well going deeper and in a different format from Sunday School. All kids 1st-5th grade meet together.
This hour is structured very similarly to the worship service that takes place in the sanctuary. Our Kids Worship includes the following elements:
Praise through Song
Prayer
Monthly Verses & Big Picture Question
Offering
Gametime(with games that connect to our lesson)
Large group lesson time
Doxology

Family Worship Sundays-Last Sunday of the Month
We believe it is very important for our kids to attend worship with the rest of the church body. It helps them to connect with the rest of the church. It is also important for them to see their parents worship and have the opportunity to worship alongside them. Kids are always welcome to worship with their parents at any time.
We have designated the last Sunday of each month as Family Worship Sunday. On this Sunday kids worship with their parents in the sanctuary whichever service their parents attend.
If you attend the 10:45 worship kids will attend Sunday school as normal during the 9:15 hour.
If you attend 9:15 worship kids have the option to attend one multi age Sunday school lesson in the Kids Worship room during the 10:45 hour.

Wednesday nights are full of high energy Bible learning and fun. Wednesday nights vary in activities but include:
BIble study
Bible Skill Games
Music
Missions and Ministry learning
On Wednesday nights we meet in our Kids Worship Space(old Sanctuary/old youth room). Check in begins at 5:50 once a leader is present. Our Wednesday program for the new year will kick August 5.
Our 2026-2027 theme and lesson focus will be released soon!

Bible Memory Challenges
Our desire at First Kids is to help kids fall in love with the Bible so they can discover who God truly is and hopefully make the decision to make Jesus the Lord of their life and follow hard after Him.
As part of that we encourage kids to hide God's Word in their hearts. Each month we have three challenges: a memory verse from our Sunday morning Gospel Project lessons, a memory verse from our Wednesday lessons, and a Big Picture Question and Answer. We work on these verses in our classes each week.
Kids will be able to pick up a monthly verse kit each month with cards to help them work on their verses as well as signature cards. To help kids truly hide the word we ask them to say the verses to three different people and get signatures. Signature cards can be returned for prizes each month.
Our 2026-2027 verses will be released soon.

Kids Camp
Each summer we attend Student Life Kids Camp at Shocco Springs in Talladega, AL. This camp is for kids 3rd-5th grade. Camp registration and information is available by December for the following summer.
